Bareilly. In a major late-night action, Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya — known for his strict stance on law and order — has removed Bhojipura SHO Amit Pandey from his post and sent him to Police Lines with immediate effect. The decision came after serious negligence and indiscipline reportedly surfaced during an important video-conference meeting.

According to sources, several issues were raised regarding the SHO’s working style as well as his conduct during the meeting. SSP Arya is said to have been visibly upset, and soon after, orders were issued past midnight relieving Amit Pandey of his charge. Pandey has previously served as SHO of major police stations including Baradari and Kotwali.

PRO Rajeev Kumar Singh Appointed New Inspector (Crime) of Bhojipura

In the reshuffle, SSP Anurag Arya has assigned his PRO, Rajeev Kumar Singh, the new responsibility of Inspector (Crime) at Bhojipura Police Station. His appointment is being widely discussed within the department, with many viewing it as a move based on trust and the SSP’s focus on strong, disciplined policing.

Dharmesh Kumar Gets New Posting

Dharmesh Kumar, who was serving as Inspector (Crime) in Bhojipura, has been transferred to Hafizganj in the same role. He has earlier worked with SHO Praveen Solanki in Bhojipura and will now take charge of crime-related duties in a new jurisdiction.

Reshuffle Creates Buzz in the Department

The sudden midnight reshuffle has triggered discussions across the police department. The strict action, especially the immediate removal of an SHO, has once again highlighted SSP Anurag Arya’s no-nonsense approach. He has previously taken tough action against officers found negligent or undisciplined.
