Bareilly Police Tightens Grip on Criminals — SSP Anurag Arya Opens
History Sheets of 31 Notorious Offenders, Regular Surveillance Ordered

Bareilly: Under the ongoing campaign against history-sheeters and gangsters, the Bareilly Police has taken major action by opening the history sheets of 31 notorious criminals involved in serious offenses such as loot, drug trafficking, cow slaughter, murder, and dacoity. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anurag Arya, some of these criminals are already lodged in jail, while others are under active surveillance.
The SSP informed that the list of these offenders was prepared after months of detailed review and analysis of criminal records. This marks the second major action in a year where such a large number of criminals have been officially declared as history-sheeters. All police stations across the district have been instructed to keep a close watch on these offenders to prevent them from engaging in further criminal activities.
Among the 31 offenders, the highest number—seven—belong to the Faridpur police station area. The campaign is part of the district-wide crackdown to curb organized crime and maintain law and order. The new history-sheeters also include criminals from Aonla and Nawabganj police station areas.
SSP Arya emphasized that regular monitoring and verification of these offenders’ movements will be conducted. He added that the initiative aims to strengthen police vigilance and send a clear message of zero tolerance toward habitual offenders in the district.
